Foundation took place in 2010.

Devoted to the Chorherr Johann Heinrich Rahn, a pioneer of modern medicine and structured medical teaching. JH Rahn lived from 1749 – 1812 in Zurich, Switzerland. He belonged to a group of leading academics of the time who put into practice the principle of enlightment, giving space to rationality and development of modern natural science. He put his broad knowledge and skills in the service of the population of his home town, Zurich.
